F3 3.3.1 Adhi Dwip (Two and Half Island)
Adhi Dwip (Two and Half Island) is several times long and wide and spacious as compared to the modern Geography. The 45 lakhs yojans wide and 45 lakhs yojans lengthy 2 areas in form of ocean is also called Manushaya Lok
Adhi (2 and half) Dwip comprise as this;
1. Jambu Dwip
2. Ghatkikhanda Dwip and
3. Half portion ofPuskarvar Dwip.
There are two oceans – Lavan and Kalodadhi ocean surrounding them. This entire region is known as Manushyalok (Human Habitat)
This portion is known as Manushyalok because the birth / death of human beings take place here only.
Five Bharatkshetras, five Arihantkshetras and five Mahavidehkshetras (Totally 15 Kshetras) are known as land of work and efforts. Here people use i.e. the weapons, the machinery and equipments and agriculture. There are 30 No-act lands which include 5 Harivarshkshatra, 5 Devkuru, 5 Hemvantkshetra and 5 Uttarkurukshetra. (here people do not have work) Besides, there are 56 inner islands. Thus, there are 15+30+56 = 101 kshetras, where human life is possible.
But, not out side the Adhi Dwip (Two and half islands) there has ever been a birth of human being in past, it will list take place in present and also not in future. No body will ever take any human being outside the Adhi Dwip. Evenif God or Vidhyadhar can do it, but they won’t do it. Thus, no birth or death of any human being will ever be out side Adhi Dwip.
Some Vidhyādhars, with their specific achievement can visit places like Nandishwardwip outside Adhi Dwip; but the birth and death will be inside the Adhi Dwip only.
The Adhi Dwip surrounded by two oceans. It round in shape and 45 Lakh Yojans in area.

The Mahavideh Kshetra is in middle of Jambudwip in its south, there are no 1 to 3 above, and in its north are no. 5 to 7
There are 6 big mountains in Jambudwip. They are;
1) Himvant, 2) Maha Himvant, 3) Nishadh,
4) Nilvant, 5) Rukmi and 6) Shikhari
These 6 mountains are known as Kulgiri or Varshadhar. All six mountains are located between seven regious. Kul means a community. Because it is a six mountains range; it is known as Kulgiri. Each mountain has its protector God.
These mountains touch the Lavan Ocean on East and West. On both the ends they touch Lavan Ocean.
Where the Bharat Kshetra ends, the Kshulla Himvant mountain is four times bigger- Maha Himvant mountain is still four times bigger. Thus they get doubled one by one.
Kshulla Himvant mountain is comparatively smaller in length and wide than Maha Himvant, as the name indicates, is bigger in size.
Nishadh mountain has some peaks shaped ox, which means Nishadh.
Nilvant mountain is so known because of its total coverage by blue coloured beautiful jewels, diamonds etc.
Rukmi mountain is silvery.
Shikhari mountain have many peaks shaped Trees (Shikharis)
F3 3.3.4 Oceans and Big Rivers
According to Jain belief, the entire middle land is situated permanently in the shape of a wheel. The 75% of this Middle land is full of water we may not see the ocean like rivers, but there have been complete and detailed description of these oceans, rivers, regions and mountains in Jain scriptures.
The Jambudwip has an area of one lakh yojan. The Lavan Ocean surround it an its area is 2 lakh yojans. Each condiment is covered by an ocean of almost similar name. E.g. the Puskar Island is surrounded by Puskarvar ocean. Each surrounding ocean has double the area of its respective contiment. Thus, there are 32 island, and 32 ocean in middle land. The last ocean is known as Swayambhoo Raman ocean.
It is said that the water of Lavan ocean is salty, that of Kshirkar ocean as sweet as best boiled milk, that of Dhritvar ocean like the taste of Ghee of best quality. The waters of Kalodadhi ocean, Puskarvat ocean and Swayambhoo Raman ocean are like fresh rain water. The taste of Varunivar ocean is like that of wine, and the rest of the ocean have the water tasting like sugar cane juice. Only Lavan ocean is like a wheel surrounding Jambudwip. Its water are salty and bitter, that is why, except the sea-creatures of that ocean, the water of Lavan ocean is not fit for drinking by anybody. The protector god is Susthit God
The Shita and Shitoda of Mahavideh have the width of 200 yojan at the beginning and 2000 yojan while they meet the ocean. There have been totally 180 big rivers stating from a lake. The Ganga and sindhu rivers of Bharat Kshetra are only 25 yojans in the beginning and when they meet the ocean they are 250 yojans.
The rivers of Rohitonga and Rohitaof Himvat Kshetra are Suvarukola and Rupyakala from Himanyavant kshetra are 50 yojans wide at the beginning and 500 yojans when they meet the ocean the rivers Harikanta and Harisalila of Hari Varsha and the rivers Narikanta and Narkanta are 100 yojans wide in the beginning and again 100 yojan wide when they meet the ocean. All the rivers are double in width and depth. In four Vijayas of Mahavideh Kshetra there are 32 rivers, totaling 128 in a Vijayas.
